Utilise the cafe's stunning environment to make your next function a truly memorable one. The Cafe is available for functions in the evening from Monday through to Sunday from 6pm until Midnight. Weddings, birthday parties, 21sts, bar mitzvahs, anniversaries, promotions, launches, any type of function will be special in this unique setting. Minimum and maximum numbers for evening functions are as follows:

• Minimum 50
• Sit down dinner max 250
• Cocktail party up to 500

A function manager is available 7 days a week to discuss your function, but to get their undivided attention it is best to make an appointment. A variety of menu options for your function are available on application, which can be faxed, e-mailed or posted, or discussed on appointment. The Observatory Café has facilities for live bands and D.J.'s, however it is up to the client to organise music. The same applies for lecterns, screens, microphones etc. Phase 3 power is also available for use at functions. Linen and decoration of the venue is also an added extra. The Observatory Cafe also cater for functions during the day, which may take the form of breakfast, morning tea, lunch or afternoon tea. For those wishing to conduct conferences or seminars in the old observatory buildings, bookings for these facilities are taken through the Royal Botanic Gardens - phone 9252 2300 and ask for the function manager. Lunchtime catering for such functions in these buildings is available for groups of 10 or more. Prices start at $22.00 per head, which includes table service.
